Red Rose BTA for sale

I would be interested but my tank just started its cycle. If you still have some in a few weeks holler back.

They are beauties. Unfortunately I didn't have good luck with green ones in the past, but of course they were not in captivity for years either. Do you do anything special to take care of them?

Awsome looking pics! Wish I had my tank up and I would grab one right away! I will look you up when I get up and running if thats OK. I heard your tank looks great in person!

I have seen these BTA's they are beautiful. Thanks again for the great coral. Send me a pm if you have any lights for sale I would appreciate it.

Me too.....but I haven't finished getting my tank up and running.

Please check back at a later date. I definitely want one!

I am really interested in one of your rbtas...Let me know how i can get one from you. I am going to Atlanta for a few days...maybe i could possibly get one from you sometime next week?

im about to put a pair of black & white clowns in my 12gal nano when it finishes cycling. would this tank be too small for one if i have a failrly large (4-6") brain coral in the center of the sandbed??

Its not the size of tank so much as the lights to keep an anemone happy. They require higher lights than PC, not sure if T5's are enouph but I would say they are.
But in a smaller tank you need to think of the space you will need to allow for it as they will sting anything near them and can walk over all your corals killing things as it goes finding a spot it likes.

I actually purchased my first red BTA while only having PC's. It was a 75 w/ 4 65 wat PC's. They seem to do fine. I have changed my lighting 2-3 times and never experienced a casualty. I went to 175 halides with PC's then to 250's w/ PC's and eventually switched my PC's to T5's.
I honestly believe that water quality and regular feedings play a bigger role. I skim heavily and feed them when I feed my fish(about every 3 days). Thanks to "over"skimming, I only do about a 10% water change monthly. And that is it, maybe I am lucky and have hardy BTA's.
I have kept the same 2 clowns for 7 years. They (fish and anenome) have survived 1 tank upgrade,3 lighting changes, 4 moves, 2 states (GA & TN).--- If I could only keep a tang alive, I would be amazed. I am embarrassed to say how many did not survive in my system, so I have given up altogether. The longest living tang in my history is about 4 months (Sohal). So I am keeping to clowns and wrasses, and one Mandarin (2 years and counting).
Hope this helps

well, my 12gal has 150w metal halide lighting that is about 17" from the sandbed. i am about to put 2 large roundish pieces of live rock from the current tank in the back part of the current aquascaping (see pic below) raising the rear part up w/ it's current bridge. then the front section might get the flat piece of zoanthid rock from the current tank bridging across it. then i want to put my 4-5" pice of live brain in the sandbed......might not move the zoarock bridge if it shades the brain too much tho. i also plan on moving the pulsating xenia & torch to this tank as well.

i plan on moving the banded coral shrimp, fuji damsel & the clown that are in the biocube8(w/ stock lighting) now over to the 12gal & putting a pair of black & white clowns in the biocube8. thought about putting the BTA in that tank since it will more than likely have nothing on the bed or it. if i do leave the zoarock in it, it would be up on top of a rather large piece of LR in there now.

think a BTA would work in this tank w/ the pair of b/w clowns & stock lighting??

eventually, everything will move over to the 60+ gal tank i am in the process of building......that tank is getting 250w halide w/ dual 10k & actinic t5 retrofits in the canopy i am also building :D

Tank Video Link back before the move. looks pretty much the same, except that the bubble coral in the front didn't survive :( & the smaller clown got exchanged for a fuji damsel cause the larger clown was terrorizing the smaller.....mr fuji don't take no crap LOL

I would love to have one, but don't know when I can get over to pick up. Anyone from MTRC heading west to Jackson or Memphis on I40? I am in Brownsville, and If some one is heading this direction a meet would be appreciated.
