Red Rose Bubble Anemone turning white

Hi,

I've had a Red Rose Bubble Tip Anemone in my tank for several months. It recently turned white everywhere but its tips which remain red. It is also shrunken up almost all the time now and never blows up to its previous size when it was red all over. I was wondering if this might have been a bleached anemone and am just now seeing the symptoms? Anything I can do to help it? Thanks!

Yes I was feeding it a small piece of silverside once a week.

My water parameters:

Salinity 1.026
PH 8.04
Calcium 490
Magnesium 1340
Nitrates 5

zero: ammonia, nitrites, silicates, phosphates

Tank is 100 gallons lit by over 500 watts of light.

Your anemone has lost most of its zooxanthellae, that is what bleached means. You are the one that bleached it. ;) Don't worry too much. Sometimes it is a reaction to a temp or chemical fluctuation in your tank that you may not have noticed. As long as your anemone is eating you will be OK. Up its feeding to 3 times a week since it no longer has any zooxanthellae to help it get energy. It should color back up in a couple months.

is that true?, cuz mine came half white half red, and it has very short tentacles, but is not bubbling up again, and it seems to be getting whiter. I don't like how it looks anymore.
Is it really gonna get reder?
