alright guys im in a situation, i have a 10g aquarium and i am looking to buy a red scooter dragonet i do have a fuge, but do you guys think it would survive with my fuge?

I made this mistake my first month of having a tank set up because my LFS at the time said, "Yhea he'll be fine"...nope surprised he actually lasted the 2 months he did.

that aside, I'd say if you have the abilty to cultivate pods on the side and keep up with its dietary needs, go for it. but more than likely steer away.

alright thanks for the reply i dont wanna waist any money.
heres the fish that i have choosin to only put in my tank

1x orange spotted goby w/ pistol shrimp
2x bi colored blenny or some other kinda of blenny
and of course some inverts

2 blennies will fight in a tank that size & the tank isn't big enough for 2 blennies & a goby. Some people on here have had problems w/ gobies & blennies in that small of a tank because they both want the bottom of the tank. I have been lucky that mine get along. Check out the nano fish section on Live Aquaria for ideas.

Avoid 2 of the same blenny. They will probably fight.

Goby/pistol is a great plan, and should work with the one blenny.

Maybe a clown?

I love my tailspot!! So glad I got the tailspot over clowns which was what I had my heart set on when I started.

I had the tailspot first & 2 months later added the goby & the pistol so the tank had time to adjust to the bioload. If you have lots of hiding places in the rocks for the blenny, everyone should be fine because the goby & pistol will spend a lot of time in the burrows.

In response to the scooter dragonet....it is possible. I have a scooter and fat as all can be. He eats anything and everything I put in there. Mostly mysis and bloodworms. But you have to take the time to train him to eat.

And secondly, I wouldnt put more than one fish in a 10 gallon. If you want more than 1 fish, I recommend getting a bigger tank
