Red Sea Max Complete Reef Opinions

Hey All,

I am setting up a new aquarium (wanting to keep it small). I'd like to get some opinions on the Red Sea Max setup vs. other all-in-ones (ie. Nano-cube / bio-cube). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Or should I just stick with buying all the pieces?

I looked into one of those units for a Seahorse tank. $600 is too much for me at the moment. One thing they have is T5 lighting, which is a good thing.

I'm loving mine! Saved me about $15 on my water bill. Cant wait to see the electric bill. I say in six months it will pay for itself. Not quite as impressive as a 300g but after owning a 300, it's a small piece of paradise!

I wish they'd have thrown in an optional fuge lines/pre-drilled with plugged fitting at least, but I'll have to DIY it. (a tank's not "yours" until you've diy'ed something). Other thank that, I havent found anything else to complain about yet (set up a month with LR and softies from 300 - fish added tonight)

they look pretty that's for sure. I saw one set up as a sea horse tank and was quite impressed. Also the LFS just set up a display in one and the guy who runs it can't say enough good stuff about it. Other than the prices (they are trying to sell them for 1000 canadian) I think it would be a good choice.
