red slime algae

I am a Rookie in the first degree. My son says that I have some red slime algae starting in my tank (75 gal..soon to be a reef) how do I get rid of it???

Hit it with some flow. That always is the quickest fix.

You should check your parameters and try to eliminate the nutrient source. I found that a water change generally made it start to go away. Although it always took a while for it to completely disappear.

icreasing the flow in the areas is a great idea. How long has the tank been set up?
