Has anyone used Red Slime Remover in a tank with clams????

OK, here is my story; I have a 180 with total water around 225 G. The past year I started to keep SPS and reworked some rock and added more (I have about 300-375 lbs). In the back, just 1 corner I found a patch of cyano (brown) algae (pretty sure it's cyano); it was in a low-flow area behind everything. I have (tunze) pumps circulating in the back but the algae returns after cleaning. I suspect that the issue isn't water movement as much as it is that the cyano has a foothold in the cracks and crevices of the encrusting algae and I am unable to get the cyano out so it grows over time.

It doesn't grow fast; I end up cleaning it every 2-3 weeks after I notice it's grown a patch but I'd like to nip it once and for all and see of the extra Tunze pumps will keep it away but I just can't seam to get that last bit so I was thinking of using Red Slime Remover. My concern is I found 1 person who swears it killed their clam and I don't want that to happen to mine so I wanted to see it this may have been potentially misdosing or something else and not the product.

Before you ask; new lights (a couple months old), no NO3, PO4, etc; good flow all around. Clam is very healthy; it has doubled in size in the year I've had it and since adding the Deltec CA reactor it seams to grow almost daily.

Feedback?

Thanks, do you use full dose or something less? Just curious.

Same here, no issue. I've only used it twice in my SPS tank at the recommended doseage. I also made sure to add extra airpump with a bubbler on the end to keep the water good and aerated. My clam never skipped a beat, nor did any of the animals in the tank and it knocked out the cyano which I was not getting anywhere with trying other methods.

I have dosed the recommended doseage several times and i have a crocea and derasa. It didn't phase them a bit.
