Red Spot Cardinals from DD

I just call LA to see if they could or would tell me if anyone has reported losses and they couldn't help.

Kevin Kohen said he would set a few aside and report his long term success with them, so that will be interesting if he does. And if anyone has the skill or ability to keep them I would think he would.

I also want to know about this. I have three copper cardinals and am very tempted to try to catch them so I can replace them with the red spots. But since I have read about their dismal survival rate in captivity I am hesitant to do it.

I would need to put them in my seahorse tank. Both are 29g biocubes so there is limited room.

Think the coppers would have any problems in low flow?

Over time I have bought 15 and have 9 still alive currently. (3 DOA's right off the bat...really don't travel well)... but of those 12 that were alive to work with, I lost one to the misguided bravery with a pistol shrimp, and 2 to a bought of a mystery illness. I doubt many people would have taken notice to the symptoms they displayed, but I stare at these guys constantly! lol. But after a round of prazi pro and they ended up turning around. So, I think their doing fine now.

I do want to add though, these guys (for me at least) seem to do best in a single species tank from what I'm seeing. Any fish tank mates I have tried adding in, really seem to change the dynamics of the tank.

This next week I'll be adding a small jv. banggai to the tank just for kicks and grins to see how they mesh with each other.
