red spot on tail of my yellow erectus why

hi,
I have an erectus that 2 day ago got a reddish brown spot on the tail right at the connection of the body. I am worried it is something wrong, she seems to be breading harder then usual.
any help/ suggestions would be very welcome

The only red I've ever seen on any of mine was algae but it never affected respiration at all.

Hard to say from your picture, but I too have had some red algae growing on my seahorses from time to time

just like to update the seahorse brown spot went away a few day later on it own.
she is doing fine.
