Red streaks

Out of no where my clowns this morning were covered in red streaks running laterally down both sides of their bodies.

they were breathing normally and ate when i fed them but it didnt look to good.

any ideas what this may be

Hi,

How long have you had them?

Anything new or differnt since you noticed the streaks.

Red streaks are usually a sign of a bacterial infection.

You should get an antibotic to help. something like Maracyn-2, nitrofurazone.

(also, there is a sticky at the top for treating yellow tangs with red streaks or blotches, you should red that too, even though they are differnt fish, the clowns are still suspectible to the same types of aliments).

i noticed them yesterday morning on the way to work. when i got home the fish were gone. and yesterday was my birthday so i guess i got some present.
