Red stripe angelfish questions

Hello all! I have a red stripe angelfish in my reef tank and I put in nori for him but he always just picks at it then he's done, but he will eat anything i put in the tank (pellets, mysid, brine) I thought they were supposed to love nori but mine just picks at it once or twice then he's done. Do you guys think this is normal behavior for this type of angel?

Depends on the angel. I have had some that love nori and some that pick at it occasionally. My tangs usually devour it before the angels even get to it.

Try Spirulina, marine algae, mysis or frozen shrimp, and other meaty items. When initially introduced they tend to be a bit shy.

Yeah mine is shy but he eats mysis, brine, and pellets like crazy. He goes plum wild for that but not nori. Ill still pit it in thers for him in case he does want it. I will be adding a ringtail tang soon from my qt and he loves nori so if the angel doesn't want the tang will always finish it off. I just didn't want there to be any problems with him if he didmt eat it. Hes a very beautiful angel though. The lfs that I bought him from said that everyone else's have died and mine is still around so I guess I'm doing something right lol I've had him for about two months so lets hope hes staying for the long haul.
