Red thing in my starburst polyp

There is this red string/yarn looking thing in my starburst anybody have any ideas?

poop, worm, sponge or zooanthalgae (sp)

is it coming out of the coral or beside it?

It's in the middle of the coral I can easily remove I just wanted to make sure it wasnt part of it

I would remove it just to make sure it doesn't cause any harmful problems. long term
