red tree sponge

my wife brought home a red tree sponge,now what do i feed it or add to the water so it can feed??? Thanks

I never fed mine directly, but I fed the tank phyto regularly....I can tell you to watch out for microbubbles getting on the sponge. They eventually made mine turn for the worse and I got rid of it before it starting deteriorating too bad. HTH

Yeah also make sure you never expose them to air. Make sure your P04 and nitrates stay low to ward off "unwanted" aglae. My buddy had one that got covered in hair algae and died.
