Red Zoo Problems

Lately i seem to be having an issue with red zoos, and red zoos only. does the red coloring cause different lighting needs? i have had 3 red frags completely melt, and recently got a nice colony of reds from a reefer that was moving. they did alright for a while, now the heads seem to be shrinking and the mat appears to be receding. All my other zoos are doing just fine, growing, good color, fully open. i have a few hammers corals in there as well that are doing well.

My lights are old, i will say that, about 14 months on 8x80w t5. was planning on an LED upgrade, now i'm just going to purchase new lamps.

I've had problems with Darth Mauls melting. Have you tried to move your red zoos? Yes, it is time to replace your lights!

What kind of red zoas? Some are melters especially the really metallic colors, maybe you got a bunch of those.

Same issue, Darth Mauls melting! As mentioned above, replace bulbs and also you could try moving them.

they were bright red with a thin black ring around a white mouth... never did find a name for em. i may have a pic. i will see what i can find. this is the 3rd try at reds. maybe they just don't like me.
