My very first tank is up and running! I'm beyond excited; just got my first corals yesterday and today. Since I have not one friend who is interested, Im going to start a thread about it, and if you all have the interest I'll keep it updated over time as I go.
My goal with this tank is to have an amazing ecosystem filled with life that is stoked to be in it. I have an overall strategy on what corals I want and where they will go. My plan involves getting small frags, setting them far apart and letting them grow over the years until they tank up the tank.
Here's a rundown of my system and livestock:
-Rimless tank with overflow and 3 chamber sump
-Cobalt C-Ray 200 LED
-ASM Mini-G Skimmer
-Refugium with marine blocks and green algae (chaeto died, letting GA hang)
-Sicce Syncra Silent 3.0 Return pump
-Arctica 1/5 HP Chiller
-ICE ATO with 10g rez
-2 innovative Marine wavelink powerheads
-CaribSea Reef Rock and Agra-live sand
-2 zebra barred dartfish
-2 neon blue gobies
-Yasha goby
-Pistol Shrimp
-Snails: fighting conch, nerite, trochus, nassarius
-Copepods (seeded tank and sump during cycle)
-Golden Hammerspawn
-Neon Splatter Hammer
-Duncan
-Ricordea Florida
-Blue Mushroom (LFS called it purple)
-Rainbow Pectinia (my dream coral!)
Not great Pics below. Very blue at the moment. Also, 2 corals are a day old and the rest only a couple hours. The new arrivals are already opening up rather well, and Im just taking that to mean they love my tank!
