I have two redox inputs, one on the redox/cond card that came with my II Plus and another that is part of the IIex upgrade I installed.
My GHL redox probe is in the sump monitoring the tank water. I'm about to add a nitrate reactor to my (overstocked and overfed) system and want another redox probe to monitor and control it.
Two questions:
1. Will non-GHL probes (with BNC connector) work with the Profilux ? I ask because one of the reactors I am considering is an Aqua-Medic, which has a port for a screw-thread probe they make.
2. Is the Profilux capable of reporting negative redox values ? Target for the nitrate reactor will be -170mV. If not, would cutting the probe's wire and reversing the leads do the trick by fooling the Profilux into repoting the negative value as positive ? If I could find or make one, a BNC>BNC crossover cable would do the same thing in a more elegant manner.
Thanks
