Hi everyone.

I'm resarting in the reefs aquarium after 5 years that i sell my last aquarium.
I've been searching a little bit, and i saw the new series of RedSea aquarium.
What o would like to know, is your opinion about these two systems:

1st - RedSea E-260 LED with 2 Hydra26 HD plug n'play. It's a complete system that it's possible to upgrade with a sump in the cabinet, RedSea sell the upgrade kit. I have to buy it in Germany, because here in Portugal i can't find nothing or where i find it's 30% expensive that in Germany. Total cost of 2149€.

2nd - RedSea Reefer 250. In this case i have to buy separatly some equipments, like return pump (Jecod DCS3000), circulation pump ( Jecod RW8 ), skimmer ( Deltec SC1351 DC ou BM Nac Curve 5), and the lightning. In this case if i buy 2 Hydra26 HD, the total cost will be 2409€.

All the other things are similar and necessary in both systems, like live rock, sand, heaters, test kits, water.

I you opinion, so much more experience than me, What is the best choice?

Regards to all

I am starting a Reefer 350. The reason I picked it was the sump. The way I look at it is that the E series is finished when you buy it but the Reefers are just the beginning. Part of what I want to get out of the hobby is tech. Pick out pumps and skimmers, add an Apex, do automatic water changes, etc. The Es are limited in what you can do in the back and I would probably add the sump fairly soon so I decided to start of with a sump.

p7willm,

Plan changed. I've picked teh 425XL! :)
I have a great part of the equipment. Skimmer Deltec SC1660, Jecod DCS5000 return pump and Jecod RW8 circulation pump. I'm thinking about lightining and don't know wich way to go...
