t-5 power compacts? thats like saying fishy invertabrate lol

I think t-5's are in a class of thier own and compact flourescents are a whole different matter

't' reffers to the diameter of a bulb. t=1/12 of an inch

t5=5/12" diameter bulb and means nothing more

t8= 3/4' bulb

t12=1 inch bulb diameter

Of course we in the hobby have tried to make it mean more that it really does. It is just too bad that t2 bulbs break way too easily or we'd all have those by now.

Learn something new every day.

I love the looks of this thing but I may need a couple of tequilas before I look at the price. LOL. I will still probably buy it but that won't mean I won't do it kicking and whining all the way.

Does anyone know if they come with the stand? My biggest question is if we can mod the back for a refugium or add a aquafuge.

They sure are taking their time. Would think the demand would get them on the streets months ago.

i saw this at MACNA and the "T5 power compacts" are just pc lamps with T5 diameter tubes. nothing special. I must say that it is the nicest of all those "all-in-one" tanks. They really thought of everything. i was impressed but the price is a little steep

Wow that is a heafty price tag!! Is any one sure about them not really having t5 lighting?? Thats what I was looking forward to.

Well I was considering this tank for sps, but if it is no true t-5 lighting then I think I'll just go with the biocube.

Note: Was talking to my LFS yesterday, he said that his supplier had a close-up inspection of the Max and did not like the setup. He stated the tank was to big for the back filtration system. Will be curious to read reviews as people start using these systems. I may just stick with my cube with add-ons.
