redtop's Ferduino controller

well it looks like you are doing a great so far you have come to far to stop now !!! when do/or have plans to tackle the led screens?

I have the preset LED screen already up sized, I have a small issue with the clock read out on that screen, it works fine but the number are spaced out too far for my liking :)

looks like there's a lot more to the LEDs than all this other stuff, so far, everything to do with screen size has been on only 1 or 2 of the tabs, the LEDs may not be as bad once I get started but it looks like there may be stuff on 3 of more of the tabs that has to be changed simultaneously to function properly

it's a lot harder than I thought it would be LOL still, I love a good challenge, Fernando has corrected me on several issues I've had so far, so it would not be possible for we to do this alone

so far though, I have the home screen, password screen, wavemaker screen, LED preset screen, all the menu screens and buttons resized, most of the parameter settings screens are done with some minor tweaking needed to text placement, and all the graph screens are done, so I have made a lot of progress on it :D

rott, I have no intention of stopping now LOL I'm doing my best to keep everything just as Fernando had it, only bigger :) I like his lay out and it's easy enough to read and understand how to use the controller for most anybody, so I see no reason to alter anything, problem with that is that with the gigantic buttons now, some of the text looks odd LOL

what I may do after the up scaling is done is go back and resize the buttons to be a little smaller....the good thing is there are repetitive patterns in a lot of it, that makes things go faster once you figure 1 thing out, just duplicate it several more times LOL

I have only screwed it up completely 1 time and had to reload a fresh copy from github.....I'm trying to keep github updated as I make positive progress and that way, if I do screw up beyond repair, I can go back to a working copy again LOL

damn you willie you are going to make me spend money one that screen

going to have to wrap up a 6 pack and send to ya for this one

Help anyone i'm getting really frustrated. My problem is i keep getting just a white screen. i've tried different screens and tft shields dont know what else to do? anyone have any idea's? thanks in advance

White screen suggests a pin issue, as far as I'm aware. If it was a library issue, you'd get compile errors. But specifying a pin in the code which doesn't actually match to how the screen is connected would lead to a clean compile, but display issues at run time. Such as a white screen. Check your connections and pin numbers in the code.

If not that, you need someone who has actually done something useful with an arduino and screen ( :o ) to comment...

Hi!

Tell me what hardware you have.

Links please.

Best regards.

Yes I did see that comment but really don't understand it. Where do I get the driver? Sorry not really good with some of the list stuff

Is in the UTFT you need only use the model right.
ITDB32WD or ITDB32WC.

And comment this line in the library.

//#define DISABLE_HX8352A 1 // ITDB32WD / TFT01_32WD / CTE32W
//#define DISABLE_ILI9327 1 // ITDB32WC / TFT01_32W

I guess I'm not following. I was just following your guide on how to load your code and was going through the example to calibrate screen

Try this code:

Code:
#include UTFT.h
#include UTouch.h

// Define the orientation of the touch screen. Further
// information can be found in the instructions.
#define TOUCH_ORIENTATION  PORTRAIT

// Declare which fonts we will be using
extern uint8_t SmallFont[];

// Uncomment the next two lines for the Arduino Mega
UTFT myGLCD(ITDB32WC,38,39,40,41); // Remember to change the model parameter to suit your display module!

You checked the file memorySaver.h in utft folder?

tried UTFT myGLCD(ITDB32WC, 38,39,40,41); and UTFT myGLCD(ITDB32WD, 38,39,40,41);?

Your LCD is 400 x 240 have sure?
