redtop's Ferduino controller

his boards are nice and have every every thing right there ready to go just hope it isn't a small fortune to get one

sorry guys, I've been really preoccupied with up scaling the Jarduino code and haven't been on here til today.....I have a working Jarduino up-scale code now but it is still full of issues and I'm about to toss in the towel on it LOL

where are you all on the issues and what do I need to do to help ?

3rd time didn't help. And there is no pass code set just click on enter to get in Willie can I trouble you to zip up all your files and send them to me ???

have all the modification's threw these pages been done to the version that is on github for Feduino_with_webcontrol_beta7_0???

Hi!

Look this:

Best regards.

Fernando Garcia

Rott mine is doing the same thing as yours

in the link Fernando posted it explains that you need to change a few thinks in the calibration sketch to get an accurate calibration....

if it isn't already ,in the calibrate sketch on line 21, you'll need to change it from "portrait" to "Landscape" and in the test button sketch on line 37 and 40, make sure it is also set to Landscape

github has the full working code, what I have has only cosmetic changes made to it, I tried to keep the code on github as close to what Fernando wrote as possible because is works great....I just changed some text coloring and placement on my own code...

once I'm satisfied with it, I'll post some pics and maybe a second set of codes to github if more people like the looks of it better

I thought that the calibration sketches with the github download had all the necessary changes made already but I don't think I removed the original calibration sketches, so you may be using the incorrect sketch to calibrate with.....

try what I posted in the above post, if that done work, we try something else :D

guys, since there is an issue with the password screen, I went in to the code on github and disabled it until we figure out where the problem is,

if you want to try it now and let me know if it is better without it, I didn't like having to punch in a code each time I wanted to look at something while I was altering the code but once I have the controller in full operation, I may add the password back...

having some sort of protection may be vital if you have some little fingers around that like to push buttons :D

What exactly do you mean ?

making the Jarduino fit on a 7 inch screen :)

I have most of it up sized but still have a lot of issues to resolve, it's taking longer to do that the Ferduino did because after up sizing, it doesn't fill the right side of the screen, so I'm having to move stuff around and making some things even bigger to fill the void, it is more trouble that it's worth but I like doing this stuff LOL

it looks pretty good so far but still a long way from done

here's a pic of the home screen, I have several screens done but I have some issues with how it is printing the time on a few screens where you select the time something will function, it will work as is but in some places, it's printing 3 digits where it should only be printing 1 or 2 LOL I'll eventually figure it all out though :D

I'm speechless now that I realized you said jarduino
I have a question how is the port expander chip being used like for what peripherals ?

Marc thanks for the heads up on the next ferduino's not using the different Ethernet cards I almost bought one like willies tonight just so I wouldn't have to alter the one I have.

Rott I already bought one it is on a slow boat from china two days later I read it will be abandon what is the port expander being use for do you have one ?
When it gets here I can cut it up I already have the w5100

the port expander is a tiny little board just gives more pwm I think it was for all the auto top off stuff look back at the first few pages where Willie posted a list of all the pin outs it is at the bottom I believe

tell ya the truth I gave up on Jarduino build it has been a long time and no updates. Jamie has to much real life going on and I can't blame him at all. I am sure if he gets a second of free time he just want to be left a lone for a few minutes

I have all ready killed to proto boards I had trying to make this little end piece thing is harder than it looks or at least for me it is

yep, I'm working on the Jarduino too, as well as the Ferduino and the Chauvet, I'm glutting for punishment, I ain't slept maybe 2 hours in the last 2 days LOL

the port expander is for the return and skimmer pumps and other equipment that only needs turned on and off with relays, all the pins on the Mega are being used for PWM and sensors so it was necessary to expand :D the heater, chiller, and a couple other items are all there was room for on the mega....Fernando believes in utilizing everything available to him LOL

looks good what is the chip in the front for? I see the rtc on it looks good icsp header :) only real pain in the *** with the last ones I had was the batteries where special order from online to get them. And surface mount battery holders are crape they keep popping off when trying to put a battery in the holder just my 2cents worth of help but other than that it looks nice man did you keep it under the 10x10 size? or what ever the small is
