reef 10gal hex

hi there im not to sure if this is the right place to ask but im starting up a nano reef in a 10gal hex can some one help me i need to know wats a good filter for it ..i got running right now a aqua clear 30 with no filter inserts just the foam and also i need to know wats the best lighting if anyone can help me thanx

your best filter is Live Rock and live sand, but the aqua clear 30 should be fine. That's what i use to run my QT tank without live rocks or sand.

As for lights it depends on what you what too keep. 70w or 150w Metal Halide will let you keep all type of corals and will fit perfectly over a Hex tank, but will be an overkill if you only plan to keep softies.

thanx do i need a skimmer or something are there any sites or links you guys got so i could get some better lighting because the the hex hood only came with a 12wat bulb flor

There are small PC fixtures, and if you add the live rock and sand and keep up with water changes, you'll be fine with no skimmer.
