Reef-A-Palooza - Who's Going?

Wife and I got there at 11:30 yesterday, huge line back past the check-in desk for the hotel, but the line moved fairly fast... was in within 20 minutes.

We don't have a tank up at the moment since we just moved to Belleair from Clearwater, so we were just there looking for the most part. Enjoyed the speakers and to me that was worth it. As others have said, there were a ton of thumbnail sized frags available and the crowd seemed to be 3 or 4 people deep at each frag tank so you had to be patient and wait your turn to see them. would have liked to see a bit more dry goods at the show though as I am still setting tanks up and deciding what to get. We were in and out within a couple hours.

Yes i did eg, I did not know about the frights and frags thing. It might be in Orlando and locally talked about. Yes there were lots of people and I said I walked it in less than an hour. There were so many people in front of the frag tanks and a lot of it was the same. Tons of zoas for those who like different ones.

Most were not that chatty with me but i did talk to the Neptune systems people, the instant ocean guy, another female vendor, don't remember her name.

You enjoyed yourself so that is all that matters.

We all have opinions about the event, that was mine.

It seems that you are from the Orlando area so you did not have to drive 200 miles round trip to get there.

I also heard that people found free parking so that was a let down. Wish i knew about it.
Like I said, they will take all the constructive criticism they can get. It will only make the show better for everyone. There is no show that will make everyone happy but hopefully the next one will incorporate info obtained from this show and it will continue to get better.

The free parking was something that we just happened upon by driving into the shopping area adjacent to the hotel. I didn't know it was available until I tried it. Today the hotel blocked off the one parking area, we used yesterday, for valet parking.

Wasn't as bad as I thought. Was actually impressed with Dr. Frag It. Saw everything I needed to in an hour
What did you think of his bright orange dragon slayer favia? They were pricey for sure but soooo stinking bright. Others have said they seen them every once in a while so I held off on the buying but hoping I can do some business with them the next time I am down south.

Had a great time there, got there at 11 with fuzzy zipperbaum parked and the guy accepting cash for tickets got us right in, the long line was for people buying tickets with credit cards. Found what I had been looking for locally for months. 70.00 for an almost two inch blue Oregon tort, yellow highlighter, and rose mille for 45.00 for both. Was with great company so was a great day.

Had a pretty good time today at reefapalooza. Can't complain seeing how I won a free ticket from another site. Figured I would go today, hoping to snag a few deals. Ended up with 5 SPS frags at reasonable prices. The good stuff was going fast! Kind of interesting to see people selling the same coral 20-30% higher just booths apart. 2 hrs was more than enough time to browse everything thoroughly. Good times!

My Brother in law and I went over Sunday am and had a great time, got to meet people you normally talk to online or hear of online. We stayed until 2:30 then hit WWC and a couple others. Picked up a new light for the tank plus some frags. Great day in my book!!

I'm glad I was wrong about it sucking. It was actually pretty cool. I went sunday and towards the end of the day most of the premium high dollar stuff was still there and everyone was ready to deal. Toddmau5 got a nice blue dot jawfish for $40, and about 12 frags. I picked up 6. Towards the end of the day prices were being dropped by half or more.. I'm glad we went.
