Reef Aquarium 1350 gallons in Bucharest

Sir you might be right but vividaquarium has 1000 watter on their 800 gallon tank it's only 32" tall and the corals are doing great.
But personally I think it's over doing it since I have 29" tall tank and I used 250 dimmable and acropora are growing very fast.

Andy If electric bill is not an issue I say go for it since solar tubes produce more par than 1000 watters according to reefski (Carl )

I'm going to start with 400s and we will see if I'll need more or not.

I actually bought the lights while I was in the states not knowing if I need them or not (just in case).

Thank you!

Andy

Humidity and noise

Humidity and noise

I had a major issue concerning humidity and noise because the tank has two sides in my living room and one in the bedroom. Under the tank was easy to isolate and use that space as storage. The problem was in the upper part where was the water and all the equipment. After two weeks of thinking how to close it, I decided that best option was to use PVC windows with double glass.

I think was the best thing to do because now I can't hear anything and the humidity stays in.

Andy the canopy is incredible. Very well done. Now that you have the heat and humidity captured in the canopy where does it go????

Great work once again, truly world class!

can you put a ventilation fan through the ceiling to the roof? Even a passive vent will allow the heat and humidity to escape.

I can't wait to see the rock panels bring it to life. Don't drop them in the tank!!!

An air vent fitted with a quiet exhaust fan directed out of the room from the canopy seems to be missing and the color of the laminate doesnt quite match ur surrounding (maybe whites nicer) .... just my 2 cents, great setup btw~

According to my 2 Canadian cents it matches :) I like how you mirrored the tank design in the bedroom closets/cabinets. These kind of details make it a masterpiece.

Give me the first chance to buy the apartment when you get bored and have to move again :)

You have a glass wall between your bedroom and lounge? Pretty unique. :)

I thought my place was pretty big but your lounge is the size of my bottom floor. :p

Last weekend i was invited by Andy to see the rockwork and the aquarium. What can i say...Andy is crazy.the aquarium is huge and i am waiting to see it full o life.the rock is strongly attached to the pannels and i think will look extraordinary on the back glass. After speaking with Andy i am curious what skimmer it will chose.

It seems like is my duty to welcome you on Reef Central beeing your first post Drekovic. So welcome!
About the color, if matches or not I don't know, what I know for sure is that I've allways liked the tanks where the canopy was dark colored. That because the contrast with the tank is even bigger.
Thanks anyway for your opinion.

Andy
