Reef Cleaner Group Buy

Hi y'all,

A few of us who lives or work in Huntsville-Madison area are putting together a group buy with Reef Cleaners.org.

If you are interested in placing order with us, check out their site here.

The group order will be shipped to one address although you shop on their side and pay your order separately from the rest of the group. You must be able to pick up your order at my house in Madison shortly after they arrive. I can hold them only for a short while.

Since Reef Cleaner is closed from June 27th through 30th for vacation, I don't know if we can get them to ship our order by mid next week (to keep the shipment from getting held up in post office over the weekend.) Stephish is going to negotiate the terms with them on Monday. We will let you know the detail on Monday. So stay tuned.

I've purchased critters from them before and was very happy. Our local club placed several orders with them as well....There was one person who was having trouble timing things around reefcleaners (John's) vacation. Other than that the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Tell John I said Hi.

I spoke with John Maloney this morning and he had me e-mail our info to him and here is his reply....

"I noticed an order for your club actually. We can do that, have your members leave me a note in the checkout field, and I will compile the orders. I can stop taking orders for you on the 29th. What would be a good day for arrival to you? Additionally let your members know that if an item they want is out of stock now, it will probably be back in stock soon, as we are allowing are stocks to dwindle because we are going on vacation later this week, (Thurs.-Mon.). (We also won't be answering emails during this time, but will catch up on them quickly once we return)."

Tomoko, what day is most convenient for you to receive the order? I'm going to reply to him with that and your addy for shipping (I got your pm).

Tomoko I'll go with receiving it Wednesday July 2nd, that will put it being shipped right after they get back from vacation.

Yeah, Friday is the 4th so we're trying to make sure it beats that and doesn't get stuck at the post office. Fireworks are great but I'm sure Tomoko doesn't want several hundred dead smelly critters showing up on her doorstep the day after. ewwwwwwee!

Also, I believe that orders over $150 qualify for free overnight express mail. woot!

You know, it's pretty easy to organize it, whether it's a group buy or club meetings. What it takes is one or two motivated person saying "I want to do such and such. Anyone wants to join?" You can be that person in your area Most shops are very accommodating. As long as you have one other person going in with you on an order or showing up to a meeting, you got it made With this particular group order, stephish and 8ball could have pulled off a free shipping deal by themselves. Bignasty1, Mariner, and I are pretty much free riders, lol.

LOL Tomoko, Mariner and BigNasty got us upgraded to free overnight instead of 2 day, woot! no freeloading there. Besides, Tomoko is kind enough to let the order be shipped to her house because if it were sent to mine we'd be eating some tiny little escargot and crab legs when it sat outside in the heat until I got home at 9pm.
