reef dosing pump

I trying to dial in how many millileters I need to set it to make up for evap. I estimate I'm evaporating about 1.5 gallons a day. I have it set for 90 mL per hour and that seems good but if I calculate that it should only be 1/2 a gallon a day?
I don't have the instruction book but I think I remember it saying something about the mL settings are not correct b/c it's high volume tubing.

That's one part of it, and remember it's a dual-channel pump (right?) so multiply by 2. Or are you only running one channel? If so, then it's about 30% more than the calculation. Monitor over a few days and see what happens. You may need to adjust for a while.

It can be run dual channel but I have it set up only running one channel.
One more question. It took me a long time to adjust the tubing that wraps around the wheel that turns. It kept getting pulled off the connector. Would how tight that tubing is around the wheel effect the amount being dispensed? If so, then it seems ridiculous to even have a mL number to adjust.

Yes, it will. Not sure how much. If it's too loose it won't work, if too tight the tubes won't last as long as they should.

Thanks ostrow, looks like I'm just going to have to dial this in. I had it set way too high last night and woke up with an extra gallon of water in the tank!
