Had an issue with a faulty hydrometer. Was actually at 1.036. Bumped ph to 8.3, alk from 7 to 10-12, no idea on calcium but I keep 3 sea lab 28 blocks in. Had a tank that was just in limbo for along time. I think everything is going to start taking off. That monte survived 7 alk, 1.036 salinity for years.

I just noticed the same thing with my tank I finally bought a refractometer and my hydrometer reading was an SG of 1.024 but the refractometer was giving me a reading of 1.036, hopefully a change in salinity should help kickstart things in my tank as well
