What are yalls suggestions on Reef Fish for a 36"x36"x25" gallon tank? That is the smallest that it will be in the width and height department but the max length would be 45" and height of 30"

Really no tang would be suitable. You could possibly get away with a kole tang. I would probably stick with a stunning dwarf angel like a flame or a Bi-Color.

That is what I was afraid of because of the length of the tank and not the gallons as the tank would be over 100gallons which is fine for some of the tangs....

A 36x36 is a lot different than a 36x18, so I think you could get away with a kole, but nothing any larger than that. I agree with sticking with a dwarf angel and smaller.

I new I would have to go towards the dwarf Angels. How many different pairs do you think might work?

If you add them at the same time, I'd do a pair of cherubs and a potters. With enough hiding places, I thinkit would be OK.

For a tang I'd look at a tomini some times called a flame fin, love these guys. Keep in mind, a 36" cube is 48" on diagonal and depending upon you rockwork may have more free swim space then many 6' tanks.

Pair of Orchid dottybacks, if you like pairs, you'll love a pair of ODs, just be patient as they are slow to become bonded but once they are the interaction is really cool. And they take up zero swimming room as they zig zag thru the rock work.

And, maybe a trio of anthias depending upon the rockwork. And see how it goes from there....

.... Hmmmmm that sounds sweet, I think I need a cube tank now! Good Luck!

I really like the Tomini as well but just wasnt sure if like a Mimic Tang could work in this tank?

I love pairs of fish. I might just have to look at doing a pair of Dottybacks.

What anthias where you thinking of? Smaller one would be ideal.

Also what about a pair of Butterfly Fish? If so which one?

I will try to find a picture of rockwork that I like for the tank.

What other fish suggestions do yall have for this tank?

Keep them coming.

You could do a trio of Zoster's or Yellow Pyramid Butterflies.

I would not do more than one pair of angels in a tank thats 36", and pyramid butterflies require more swimming space as well.

As far as wrasses go any of the Halichoeres genus would work. I am also partial to the Wetmorella sp. possum wrasses.

I am a fan of the Halichoeres Wrsses as well which I have a christmas one currently but the only thing I was think is that I might be going BB and dont they need a sand bed to sleep in at night?
