Reef Grow bulbs

Anyone ever use these Reef Grow bulbs?

Crappy Catalina bulbs. I bought a cheap 150w unit fomr them a while ago for a nano. The ballast they use are pretty good, but the bulbs suck. The color of thier bulbs were not very nice. The 14k bulb did not look very nice, and the bulb only lasted 4 months. Switched to a Phoenix 14k bulb and could not be happier. They are inexpsneive, but I would pay the extra $10 and get a good bulb.

yeah it is for my 70w they are half the price than other places. let me know if you see a good website with 14k 70W bulbs

i have worked with those guys before they are very nice people just lower quality product i think

My experience was good, maybe because I picked up my merchandise.

But it sounds like the bulbs are not that nice?

Yeah I've dealt with them before too and they were nice. I didnt have problems with the fixture, so I cant say how thier customer service is with problems. But the bulbs are definatly bad. You get what you pay for.

Its funny how much more exspensive 70w bulbs are than 150w.

I think the best price I have seen for 70w bulbs are at customaquatic.com Ushio bulb for $60.
