Reef Keepers Dream Skimmer?

I have a 150 gallon full of live rock. One large picasso trigger, lg Naso Tang, puffer, two clowns, strawberry dottyback, two chromis. I'm in the market for a skimmer. I have room in my sump for the skimmer. Just trying to learn about them. I have read several articles. I'm wondering if there is a brand that any reef keeper would just love to have? Any suggestions, opinions or comments are welcome.

If money is no object then go with a bubble king or Deltec, if you are not looking to spend much, then you really have to do some research on the type of skimmer you want as there are many types that work well and many will argue taht one type works better than the other.

Custom Made all the way. Something 12" diameter, 4-6' tall, bubble plate, wetneck... something Spazz would build.

BK is a dream for most of us.

H&S, Deltec, and ER are very good and all in the same price range(roughly). You can't really go wrong with any of them IMO.

I'd like to get of the BK's with the new DC pumps. Not sure when they'll be available in the US, but mark my words.....

I will own one after they hit this market.

If all goes well, these new pumps will be the greatest skimmer pumps ever made....

Totally agree but not for small tanks. For your setup, H&S might be the best fit for size and money.

For that setup, my dream skimmer would be an AP702/902 with a self cleaning head and some really fat and happy fish. In all reality an AP851 or equivalent would work nicely.
