not sure if this is the right thread but what kind of corals am I able to keep in a 29 gallon tank standard dimensions under a 155w t5 fixture? Is this enough for most corals or do I need more watts?
you'll definitely get more replies in the "reef discussion" or "lighting/equipment" sections of this site, this section is for "reef fishes". how many bulbs is your t5 unit?
Sorry, I posted a link to the fixture that I have. I have it for sale but am thinking about keeping it for a reef tank unless I need a stronger light. It is the 36" fixture.
Tank is 30" wide so a little will be hanging off the edge if this fixture works. I am looking at a single 250w fixture of MH instead of the t5 fixture but don't want to get it unless this t5 fixture isn't capable of keeping lps and sps towards the top of the tank. here is a link to the fixture I have right now.
I picked up a 250w MH fixture. Would that be too much for the tank? it would be about 6" from the top of the tank. It clamps on to the back of the tank, kind of like the viper MH fixtures.
