Worked again with Ecotech support this morning to troubleshoot my Reef Link. Turns out it was too close to my router and was picking up some interference and causing intermittent connection and programing failures. Sounds weird but by moving it a few feet made all the problems go away.
Now I'm even more excited about the vortech support when it becomes available. JP
