Reef Magazines

I am looking for a good informative reef magazine to subscribe to...you all have any suggestions from your experiences....

Not a suggestion but a heads up. I ordered Aquarium Fish magazine and never recieved a single copy. I emailed and called but nothing. I gave up..........

I would not go with AFM it is mostly a tropical fish magizine. There is Marine Reef magizine but it only comes out annually, I believe.

I am sure there are some others but I am unaware of them.

I subscribe to Coral Magazine and have all of their back issues, which are only about 20, and each issue is devoted to a certain subject. Might be large reef aquariums, or Gobies, or Live Sand, or Starfish, or SeaHorses. It is saltwater aquaria only and it's written to understand. My only wish for a change would be that once in a while when they give a scientific name and don't provide the common name as well. You can check them out at www.coralmagazine.com. They are out of Santa Ana, CA. I've learned a great deal from their magazine.

Marine Fish Monthly is one of the best grass roots mags out there. it was cheap and had great info....... sadly I don't think it is around anymore. FAMA was a good one too, but mag space was shared with the freshwater side. Online seems the best source now. Magazines aren't what they used to be.....

I believe you'll find Coral Magazine to be more than what magazines "used to be".
