Reef Octopus 4 pump issues

Hello, I purchased a reef octopus 4 skimmer from Marine Depot in December 2010. It has been running great for the most part, over the weekend I noticed the pump would turn off randomly. Sometimes it runs for 10 minutes before it stops, other times its 2 minutes and it turns off. It will only shut off for 2-5 seconds at a time, but this can not be good for cleaning my tank. Since it was purchased on December 9th 2010 am I past my warranty with you? Do I have to contact the manufacture to get this resolved?

Thank you very much, I am trying to clean it right now to see if it will resolve itself. But for being only 2 months old and in a brand new tank I am not sure if that will do it or not, its not very dirty.

Well I took it apart, rinsed everything out, it was fairly clean. Now that I have done that and plugged it in the issue seems to have been resolved for the moment. Just seems weird the way it was turning on and off and being so new.
