I am started to put together a list of gear of i need to order for my 270G (6x2.5wx2h) SPS build starting in the new year. I only intend to have the tank relatively lightly stocked. 1-2 tangs, 8-9 small fish and a few shirmp.
After a bit of research on the available skimmers, i decided to go with the reef octopus regal INT series.

I am having trouble selecting a size though.
R.O. recommend the following max tank size per skimmer.
INT-150 - 211G
INT-200 - 396G
INT-250 - 634G
INT-300 - 739G
BRS did a video ( https://youtu.be/beDEyxb1XKI ) on these skimmers where they recommend the following ratings. Can be found @ the 2:00 mark.
INT-150 - 40-100G
INT-200 - 100-175G
INT-250 - 175-250G
INT-300 - 250-400G
BRS did state that these rating assume a medium to well stocked tank. But there seems to be way too much difference from what BRS recommend to the manufacture.
Unfortunately i dont have a store that i can purchase these locally and get some advice. hopefully someone on here has had experience with these skimmers and can point me in the right direction or recommend something that would suit my new set up.
