Reef Pack 500 outputs a lot of micro bubbles

I bought the Tunze Reef Pack 500 back in July. I love this thing but have 1 problem. The 9005 skimmer on it puts out a whole lot of bubbles from the bottom. The skimmer skims very well, just lots of bubbles. I was told that this may take time to go away. Well its been 6 months and its still a problem. I cleaned it last week and made sure everything is connected securely. I have tried the gate full open to closed and everything in the middle. Even if I turn the blue "screw" air adjuster to full off, I still get a whole lot of bubbles out of the bottom of this thing.

I have a 132gl tank with 160 lbs of live rock, a few corals, 10 fish and 3 sponges. The sponges do not take well to the bubbles. The bubbles are actually killing the sponges. I placed them on the opposite side of the tank from the Reef Pack and that helped. I don't have too much algae growing except coraline algae.

Any suggestions??? I hate to spend so much on a product to have these kinds of problems?

There are several possible causes. I would check that the pump is installed so the output is inside the clear jet pipe inside the skimmer body. I would check that the KH does not excede 12 dKH. If so it may be CO2 saturation. If the bubbles get progressively worse the longer the lights are on it would be oxygen saturation. Where are you in Central TX?

It seems that I will not have enough time to get down to Austin and back in short enough time today. I will try to drop it off on Sat.

Thanks for your help Roger!
