do you dose with amino acids and vitamine supplements.....and what changes have you seen in your corals? im thinking that monthly water changes isnt enough to replace what compounds get utilized by our corals. alot of the tissues pigments are made up of these vitamins and elements........right

Test at the beginning of a new water change then just befor a new water change to see the difference
Now when you do a water change what are the readings if there is a big difference then you are right but I think you will find the differences are very minor and dosing will throw the balance off any way regular water changes should keep the system in check unless you have a large quantity if corals that use the same minerals
then and only then would it be advantagous to dose with anything

100% stony corals.......i have very few fish and lot of sps..so i feed very little(a cube a day of mysis or blood worms) my reef is a 120 and gravity fed to a APF600..and no i dont do water changes regulary....or like i should. i think my corals are a good canadite for these supplements.

i have used reef plus and find that the colors of my sps are much deeper....so in my opinion it is worth it...an no...i don't test for what is in the reef plus, i just know that my stock looks better with it than without

I too dose Reef Plus. I have had results similar to katpurdy. Deeper colors, more PE, etc.

I personally like to stay away from supplements i also think it can throw things off balance....instead you can replace trace elements through regular water changes.

water changes ok..trace elements..i get it. but amino acids and vitamins wont be replinished through this. dont they get these indirectly by feeding?
