hey guys,

putting together a 93g cube for a predator tank which will have eels and lion fish. any recommendations as far as whether to get a reef ready tank (corner overflow) or to drill two holes myself in the back for my overflow? just not sure which to get and whether there are disdvantages or advantages to either. thanks!

IMHO, it depends on how the tank is viewable (how many sides). If it's from all 4 sides, I'd go with a central O/F so the 'scaping can be in the center and the fish can swim around the column.

If it's 3 sides, black out the back and go with an internal trapezoidal O/F or an external O/F box (we run this setup on our 48" 100 gal, and it is better than anything I've ever designed).

I don't know which lion(s) you're considering, but I wouldn't go with anything larger than a P. russelii (Russel's Lion, also incorrectly called Red Volitans).
