Reef Ready return placement

I have a 90 Reef Ready tank set up as FowLR with Herbie method as plumbing. I have most of my LR in front of the overflow to kinda hide it. The right side of the tank is more open, but some LR. My question is should I move the return to the right side of the tank so flow goes towards the wall of LR to keep stuff from settling on it? I am afraid of the water being too loud going in the overflow if I move it. The surface is calm at the overflow as it currently setup. Or should I get a powehead behind the LR wall?

A picture or two would help.

IMHO, the return should be as far away from the overflow as possible to help keep things moving. I like to keep at least a couple inches between any rocks and the glass so that I can clean behind/around it. Using a powerhead or 2 or 4 to add to the flow is always a good idea. Rarely (if ever) will the return line provide adequate circulation by itself.
