Reef safe wrasses that don't jump

Just like the title says. I am looking for colorful, peaceful, reef safe wrasses that do not have a tendency to carpet surf. I use to have eggcrate over my tank but after an unfortunate power outage while I was on a long weekend I lost most of my fish and corals:(. I have taken the eggcrate off while I rebuild and the amount of light that I have without the eggcrate is amazing. I would like to be without eggcrate but would love a nice wrasse or pair.

Any suggestions.

Any wrasses are potential jumpers (actually, any fish are, but especially wrasses).

One trick that you can do is to make a frame for the top of the tank either with PVC or with eggcrate. Run fishing line in a grid pattern across the opening. You can make the grid as open or as tight as you want. It will make it harder - not impossible, but harder - for the fish to go carpet surfing, but it will have almost no effect on the amount of light getting into the tank.

I bought a dissapearing wrasse yesterday, and it wasent even in the tank 2 hours and it jumped. I picked it up and heald it in front of a power head to force water through its gills and I revived it. I put it back in the tank and it jumped again an hour later.I;v come to terms that I will never buy another wrasse again.

you could get a picture of one...

I have heard that garden netting works well for a top (what I am planning to use), maye try that?

I put 1/4" mesh pond netting in a window screen frame. works great and dosen't block light. bought it at watergardens.org
