Reef Safeness?

i have wondered this myself and have seen some reefs with triggers, especially huma huma and niger!! this may be a case-to-case situation but in general, I would vote NO.

the biggest issue once you see the fish initially eating the coral (assuming it has not completely consumed ALL corals while you are away) is getting the fish OUT of the tank. this may be a big issue if you have to move rock with corals on it, etc...

Huma triggers (and the other Rhinecanthus triggers are almost always very non-reef safe. I've seen them destroy just about anything you can think to put in a tank.

Well, I will tell my buddy that he might as well try. Worst case scenario, he looses some 'crappy' coral. Best case scenario, he has some weeds in his Fish Only tank.

Ok, then my favorite is the clown trigger. Great personality, and very curious about humans.
