I have been dealing with phosphate problem for the past month or so. I had a fellow reefer come by and test my phosphate in my tanks water and my water coming out the r-o unit. The tank water was 32ppm and the ro unit was around 7ppm. After reading several rc threads on this topic, I began to suspect that I am introducing phosphate during my water change and my salt is the culprit. I have using instant ocean and not the reef crystal variety. Could my salt be full of phosphate? Is there a phosphate free salt you would recommend? Would I benefit from a salt mix upgrade? I'm considering tropic marin. Any opinions would be appreciated.
