Reef Systems flat worms?

I heard that they might have a flat worm problem but I then about 8 people told me they didn't have any issues. Can anyone else give me their experience with them. Thanks everyone. I'm down in c-bus for the weekend so I am hitting all of the LFS before I head back tomorrow to cleveland.

For what it is worth, I have quite a few pieces (both SPS and LPS) from there and have never encountered any kind of flatworm problem. I also have purchased some rather large pieces of live rock with no issue. Todd does a pretty nice job with his place. I would definitely check it out. Enjoy your trip....

While I have seen quite a bit of Bubble Algae, I have not seen any flatworms there.
I recently picked up a nice Crocea there and it had some asterina starfish, but no flatworms.
Despite what I have heard, I don't believe these little stars deserve the bad rep they have obtained.
HTH,
Ken

I've got several pieces from ReefSystems and never got any pests... definitely no flatworms from them guys
I think they have one of the cleanest vendor tanks around, Todd is very conscious about pests.
Have a good one!

Ironically enough I got a new piece of acropora and pavona last week and think I got a flat worm. I saw it for the first time last night and was not sure what it was, sort of looked like a nudi.

How bad is a flat worm?

and qt and dip everything no matter where u get it anyways :D

Exactly. I got an acro with red bugs from them but took care of it in QT. Bottom line is it is the consumers responsibility to prevent the introduction of pests.

I didnt think they were a big deal either. Until I actually caught them killing off my sps. I has perfect shaped starfish death patch on pieces. I started taking them out one by one after that

Was just there today for the first time and bought a few things,
one of them was a devils hand and when the guy pulled it out of the tank and turned it over he said "this is a flat worm" but before I could see it it apparently ducked into a small hole so he just cut of the corner of the rock and viola no flat worm. He does have some nice stuff and the display tank is awesome plus everything is pretty much for sale.
Will definitly go back again and again and again.:D

I picked up some rics and a frogspawn today from him and another ric from phishy. Going to visit the parents this weekend worked out pretty well!

So what dip do you prefer? I have lugol's. I have dipped my corals but have never seen anything come out. Of course I haven't seen any bugs yet either!

I am concerned about some little white dots on a couple rocks. I have not seen them move but am worried as to what they are. I'm thinking they are some type of egg that has not hatched such as a snail egg??? They are flat, oval shaped, and creamy white. Only on 2 rocks so far. Any guesses?l
