Reef tank lunar lighting

I'm running a 29g biocube reef tank with 2.5wpg compact fluorescents. I have those three little LED lunar lights and I think they look f-ing amazing. I was wondering what my schedule should be for them. Any suggestions? Will it harm my corals?

In my opinion, they are for aesthetics only. I set mine to be on when all other lighting is off. Some have tried to simulate natural lunar cycles to stimulate spawning, etc. but I'm not sold on this. Way too many variables there, and I'm not sure you were going there anyway. In short, I keep it simple; moon lights on all night (or whenever else I want it to look "f-ing amazing"! ;))

I agree. They're for your viewing only. I only run mine till midnight. No need to have them on while your asleep especially if they are bright. They could keep they fish/corals from relaxing/sleeping.

I agree with Rook... I think it is best to have a significant period of complete darkness to allow for a lower stress level in the fish in your display.
