Reef tank slow start up

First time posting, I have a 75 gallon tank with a 25 gallon sump. Wanting to build up a mixed reef tank slowly but surely, will be posting stats and pics tonight to start

Here's where I'm at right now

2 conch snails
4 hermit crabs
1 black and white oc. Clown
1 duncan coral

Got a nice little ricordea Yuma this afternoon and acclimated it for a little while before giving it a new home in the dt. Even bought a little dry rock to place it on

Looks nice! Your a little ahead of me. I've been working on my 75g for the past 3 months; building stand, assembling equipment and so forth. Finally got everything set up and plumbing finished this afternoon. Just got through filling everything up with freshwater and letting her run a while to check for leaks and get everything tweeked. I'll be draining it tomorrow and adding the rock, sand, and rodi saltwater. I've got 1 16" SB Reef Lights basic unit but still need one more. I hope by the time my cycle is done I will have the other light and be ready for a few CUC members.

So funny, I am also just starting up a 75 gallon. Hubby wanted a custom cabinet so I'm waiting for it to be finished, then I can buy my tank , planning a 30 gal sump. I'm thinking T5 lights either ATI sunpower or Geisemann Matrixx but haven't gotten much farther in my research than that. Hoping to eventually focus on soft and LPS, a few fish, anemones (way down the road of course) I'll be following both of your builds...

Finally got everything set up and running this weekend! Also started my cycle with household ammonia; now the waiting game.

I think you should add more liverock to the display. It'll give you a better layout for adding corals and also a place for fish to hide.

Very nice. I like the back wall, You will have to learn the art of coral gluing as you go along. I assume the back isn't "live" (did not come from another tank) so building up bacteria is going to take a little longer. some donation water from an LFS might be a good jumpstarter.

You may wish to deepen the sand bed depending on what you end up adding, but since you have no rocks on the bottom, you can do that whenever if you choose.

I'm curious where you got your sump. Premade?
