Reefbrite xho

I am setting up a 80db tank 48x24x16 that will be sps only. I will be running a 48" 6 bulb ATI Sunpower over this. I am looking into adding a reefbrite xho strip to it. Would like hear from others who have them if they are worth the money? Do you see any different in coral colors since adding? Should I go with all blues or 50/50? Is there any other brand strip people would recommend instead? I tried doing a search but could not find a lot of pics of these. None that show t-5 on with and without these so I could see what they add. I put this here instead of eq forum because I want to know how they effect sps specifically. Tia

The all Blue will give you great pop and the spread and reflector design spreads the light better than any other strip design I have tried. I like to be able to dim and they sell a module that you can use to control the XHO strip on your Apex or manually. I have my Reefbrites come on at 5% at 8am and ramp up to 40% at 10am. I ramp down from the other direction from 9pm to 11pm. This adds to my tank viewing time with less light and in the evening when the light gets to 15% most of my wrasses start to spawn.

Note the reflectors spread the light so good you will get very little shimmer with Reefbrites, I only mention this because some who have T5 are looking for the shimmer that is hard to obtain when you have very little shadowing.

For color pop and spread they are the best and in my Reef they add 4 extra hours of viewing outside my T5 light. I have them on all my tanks. You can special order them so they match the width of your fixture as a standard 48" is a bit wider than a ATI fixture.

All Blue!

I use two regular reefbrites (all blue)
That fit perfect to sun power .
Why not go with two regular reefbrites vs 1 XHO?

I had a48" reefbrite actinic on my 6x54 dimmable sunpower and while it was great when the t5 was off I didn't see any difference whatsoever while the sunpower was on and as a previous poster mentioned, no shimmer which is what I was hoping ,turned out to be an expensive moon light.
