going to order a clean up crew for a friends upgraded tank and replenish some of mine. Looking at reefcleaners.org and wanted to know if anyone would recommend them or if i should look elsewhere.

was not impressed with the shipping, i tried their macros, goods were dead on arrival, they didnt even attempt to ship it well as far as their bagging and package set up, they resent me what was dead, and again came in dead the 2nd time, based on that id go elsewhere

They are awesome. I have ordered from John several times over the last few years and have always been pleased with my order.
I plan on adding CUC soon and will be ordering again. I cannot wait until many of the macro algaes are replenished this spring.

I wouldn't order macro from them again because of the above mentioned problems...
But, I won't order my CUC from anywhere else. Very generous on quantity, good variety, great prices, and excellent customer service. Even when I had a problem with the macro, John took care of it without any fuss.

Thank you, Very good info because i was going to order macro from them lol but looks like i will just be getting the CUC from them and asking for John. Thanks for the replies i will keep checking for more responses not ordering till later

I've ordered quite a bit from them both macro's and snails. I have never had any issues and always received more then purchased. If you order dwarf anything they will be tiny. Otherwise all other snails have been decent sized and rarely have I had any not make it. The cerith type snails are the worse to know if they are dead or not and can easily take a few days to start moving. Another issue with that I found is crabs, if you have any, will find them and start having breakfast, lunch, and dinner. After the first run in on them I always add them by hanging them in the water in a mesh bag. Once I see them start moving I add them to the tank.

My snails and macros were all perfectly healthy. John sent me way more than what I ordered.

They are amazing, their quick crews contain a few too many snails for my liking, but they are a great place to order from.

I've order my cleanup crew and some macro from them. I got way more snails than I ordered and the Halmedia I ordered looked great and took off in my tank. They sent me about a baseball sized chaeto. All doing great. I think I only had 1 or 2 larger snails DOA and 1 or 2 more die in the tank, but still, more than the ammount I ordered survived and keep my tank clean. I will order from them again when I inevitably upgrade to a larger tank.

Part of the reason I buy more cuc regularly (2x yr maybe) is to feed the rest of the cuc....

I've ordered twice from ReefCleaners and I would do it again. I always receive more then I order even when I ordered 15 banded trochus snails(I got 17 w/1 DOA). I have ordered macro, hermits, and crabs from him too, and only had one DOA scarlet hermit, everything else has made it.
I will note that both of my shipments were overnighted to me which I believe helps immensely with keeping everything alive. Oh, and I ordered pods from him too and my tank is teeming with them now.
