Reefkeeper

Im thinking about picking up a Reefkeeper and was wondering if we had an opinion as to their worthiness.
Im trying to make sure I continue to improve the hardware of the tank and not just spend my (allowance?) on fish and corals every week.
If there are significant advantages to the Elite model I'd like to know that too because as of now I planned to just get the Lite model.

Thanks!

me personally, the lite is plenty, but thats just me--i think the elite is for more things like calcium reactor, chillers etc. etc.

I bought the RKL Plus, or something to that effect, from Memfish about two weeks ago. It is the same set-up as the Lite, but has an additional probe (pH or Temp) and another RKL PC4. I bought an additional SL1 and pH probe for my Ca reactor.
Let me tell you, this has been the best thing I have bought in YEARS! The Elite is basically the RKL Plus with the NET feature. As they claim on the site, you can upgrade to the Elite with additional money and a swapping of the head units.
I think you would do good to buy/consider the RKL Plus. You will have 8 sockets, the head unit, a Temp and pH probe. With all of the programing posabilities (man i can't spell) I don't think you'll need to upgrade to an RKE. Maybe you'll add another SL1 or something, but I think you'll be just fine with a RKL Plus.

I've see the RKL only steps pH in .5 increments. If you ever wanted to run a calcium reactor with it, that would make it tough. Otherwise, it looks like a great controller with an even better price!
