I've found of late that I have the most success when utilizing my computer (Mac) to do all the programming and changes versus the mobile app.

Reef keeping is life!

Same on my end also. I even have it hard wired directly to a gigabit connection.... Yes, Gigabit.......

For the last three days or so even though lights on reeflink were all blue (and it is hard wired to my wifi), when I tried connecting from my laptop ecosmartlive said I was "offline". Finally today I unplugged the reeflink, plugged it back in, and now everything works. :uhoh3:

Yeh mine is hard wired too and I lose connection here n there. Had to unplug it... They need to fix this issue fast! It's a brand new unit that they had to replace!!

Its something with the software... Every time I want to use it, I have to unplug it. I'm considering putting it on a WIFI plug.

Same here. If you juggle 3 squirrels facing due north that works too but just unplugging it is faster than catching the critters required.

One would really think Ecotech would fix this thing so it connects when the application is opened. Based on my experience I'd never purchase the Apex substitute I hear is in the works. My Apex is nearly bomb proof, works every time I open it.

Ditto for all of this. EcoTech should be ashamed. The only thing that works for me is to unplug the ReefLink and wait 30s...and that does not always work.

RE: ReefLink

We are sorry to hear that you've been having problems with the ReefLink. We would be happy to take a closer look at your situation - all we need is the email address that you use to log into EcoSmart Live. You are always welcome to call our Customer Service department as well for more advanced troubleshooting. Many, many customers use their ReefLinks on a daily basis without any issues, so we will work hard to ensure that you also have that same experience.

Every time I want to connect to mine I have to unplug the reeflink (even though it's lit blue) and plug it back in. Wait a couple minutes for it to reconnect and everything, then it works fine... Untill the next time I want to use it.
This seems like a Fairly common problem. If anyone finds the solution please post on here to let us know.

Mine does exactly the same. The light is blue but when I access the web site it churns for a few minutes then says "offline mode".

I can't find any way to get it online except to unplug the reeflink wait a few seconds and plug it back in. Once it resets I get online mode and it works fine. The first few times I looked all over the program to find a way to restart the reeflink or get me "online" but couldn't fine one. Until I figured out to unplug it was very frustrating. Now it is just annoying that I need to stand up, reach under the desk and unplug it. Since I only use it once a month or so it is not a huge deal but a well designed system would not do this.

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble connecting. When was the last time you tried to connect? I ask because we have made a host of improvements over the last few weeks.

Ive gotten this same issue now.
I have restarted and unplugged everything a couple times now. Guess ill have to just reset it all (PITA).

I can control the radion through the app but cannot do ANYTHING with the vortech pumps.
Its like it doesnt even see them.

Power went out a day or two ago and apparently thats what did it because it was working perfectly fine before then.

Just had to re plug the other day. When I did get on it said there was a reeflink update. So did that. Then wanted to reprogram something. Went and hit program aquarium...and it gave me the sychronizing data screen thing for 20 minutes and never moved past it so I gave up. Was not able to reprogram my lights.

I updated a week or so ago. I had to play and restart my computer.

HOWEVER it does seem to be working correctly. I've logged in 3 times now without needing to unplug the reef link. Thanks Ecotech.

I have had 3 Reeflinks and had the same issue with all of them. I have contacted Ecotech Support too many times to remember and the problem continues. I have just given up on the Reeflink. I love my Vortech pumps and just manage them manually until I get my Profilux3 up and running. I'm sure "Many, many customers use their Reeflinks on a daily basis without any issues". However, it seems to me, based on my own experience and the experiences stated here, the issues related to the Reeflink are epidemic.
