ReefLink VorTech programming question?

AcroporAddict

There is no substitute.
First off, can ReefLink control Vortech pumps yet, and secondly, when it does, can you program a daily schedule like, for example, Lagoon Mode for three hours, then Reefcrest mode for three hours, then ES Nutrient transport mode for three hours, then Lagoon mode again for three hours, then 12 hour night mode, then repeat?

Thank you.

Ecotech certainly isn't going to answer any questions about what Reeflink will do in the future. You will most likely get their standard response.
Neptune Apex will do what you describe in your post as well as scores of other tasks to help you keep your aquarium in top shape.

I doubt I will get their standard response, as they say it is coming early 2014, but I was not sure if it was controlling Vortechs yet. And thanks about the apex, but I don't have that brand of controller, so I am SOL there.

I'm not sure if this a feature EcoTech Marine can/will comment on or not. But I'll try anyhow..

With ReefLink and the Vortech integration, will be I able to put my pumps into feed mode from the iPhone app?

Since my sump is in the basement, the only thing I ever get underneath my tank stand for is to enter Vortech feed mode. And I'm not a fan of mounting the controllers on the outside of the stand.

Acropor,

VorTech integration will be available for EcoSmart Live before the end of quarter 1 2014.

Thank you for the response Alex. Can you tell me if the Vortechs can be programmed for multiple modes over the course of a day?

I have $4500 worth of MP60s (six) on my 465 gallon SPS tank I would like to program in more than one mode over the course of a day.

Acropor,

Yes, you will be able to change modes and speeds throughout the day.

Thanks again Alex. These six MP60s are what I want to program:

If you have a ReefLink, you will be able to create and program a 24 hour schedule to your VorTechs in a similar fashion to how it is done for Radions. This means that you can create a customized schedule with virtually unlimited data points, including synchronization modes (Sync/Anti-Sync). You will also have access to all modes and options that you currently have with the VorTech driver. Moreover, we will also expose the settings, e.g. Feed Mode speed, Battery Backup speed, etc., with the integration. Lastly, you will be able to quickly enter Feed Mode when necessary.

It is true that the Apex will do as you described, however with limitations. EcoSmart Live will expose full functionality and all of the power that you currently get with the driver, including synchronization modes.
