Reeflux 12K Bulbs

It was time to replace my 3 150W halide bulbs and I purchased 3 of the reeflux 12K 150W DE bulbs to put into the light fixture. The fixture also contains 4 X actinic power compacts so I felt that the 12K plus the PC's would have a pleasing color.

After installation, it seems that 1 of the 3 reeflux bulbs is a completely different spectrum than the other 2. The left and center bulbs look very good, but the right bulb is extremely yellow. In fact, that whole side of the tank looks awful under this bulb.

On a positive note, the left and center bulbs produce a very nice white color that really achieved the look I wanted with the PC supplementation. Very clear and crisp with a tint of blue.

The bulbs have been running for about 9 hours now. Is there any chance the spectrum will change??

I never had a problem like this before, is this type of problem common??

Would I be out of line in asking the supplier to replace the 1 bulb??

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

it might just take some time to burn in but i deffinantly would contact the place you got the bulbs from and let them know what is going on and ask them what they recomend.

that way if color does not come around then you will be set up to return the bulb.

Adam, installed them on Friday afternoon, and will contact them on Monday, by then, will be about 14-15 hours on them.

Chris, mine are double ended, seems that the link was for single ended bulbs.
