OK, I've talked with sickyute and I don't think his guy is coming back with a better price.
I'm sure he will post if he hears anything differently.
I'm getting my bonus check tomorrow so I'm gonna place the order for my new skimmers this Monday.
If I add at least 12 bulbs to my order the bulb prices will drop to this:
REEFLUX
175w 10k/12k = $55.95 (mogul/se)
250w 10k/12k = $59.95 (mogul/se)
400w 10k/12k = $62.95 (mogul/se)
150w 10k/12k = $59.95 (hqi/de)
250w 10k/12k = $62.95 (hqi/de)
That's no tax and free shipping.
It looks like we've got the 12 minimum covered so that's not a problem.
The only problem I have is the wife... especially since I have a bad habit of taking corals instead the cash to pay back the credit card from groupbuys.
So we would have to settle-up first before I can place the order.
If everyone who wants bulbs will be at the fragswap on Sunday, I'll take prepayments then, and place the order the next day on Monday.
She would prefer checks... (she doesn't trust me having extra cash at the frag swap... go figure
), but if you don't have a checking account cash will have to do.
If you're not going to be at the fragswap pm me and we can make other arrangements.
Please also pm me to confirm that you want in and that you are going to be at the fragswap Sunday so I know who to look for.

I have to pull out of the groupbuy.
Unfortunately the bonus check I was counting on didn't come so I won't be able to to buy my skimmers right now.
The bittersweet part is that when I told the guy I was cancelling he dropped the price so maybe I'll be able to hold him to it the next time we need bulbs.
Unless someone else can find a better deal it looks like hellolights is the best place to get them right now.
I won't be buying this time, especially with the fragswap this weekend and the unexpected pricehike on the watertank, but maybe somebody can give them a call and see about getting a discount since it's still a good size order of bulbs.
Won't hurt to ask.
